Ingredients
  

For Filling
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms chopped
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
For the Creamy Layer
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
For the Topping
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 13.8 oz pizza dough (or crescent rolls)
Optional toppings
  • turkey pepperoni
  • black olives
  • banana peppers
  • spinach
  • extra mozzaarella

Method
 

Cook the Filling
  1. In a large skillet, cook turkey, sausage, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5–10 minutes.
Build the Layers
  1. Spread the meat mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Dollop Greek yogurt over the top and gently spread.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the yogurt layer.
Add the Dough
  1. Stretch Pizza dough over the entire casserole
  2. Pinch seems as needed
Bake
  1. Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  2. Allow to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
